The Best Little Poboy House began in 1984 as a small restaurant owned and operated by Sharon and Bruce Broussard.  Initially the restaurant was a two employee establishment serving lunch to about thirty Port Allen locals per day.  However, through years of family ownership and commitment to quality, the business grew creating the need for more employees; naturally Bruce and Sharon brought their children Michael and Melanie in to assist in daily operations.  In 2008 the Torch was passed on to Michael as Sharon Semi-retired!

*In 2003 the business moved to the corner of 6th St. and California Avenue where it remains a staple lunch establishment. Now with well over two hundred daily patrons from Port Allen, as well as Downtown Baton Rouge and surrounding areas we are still committed to the very highest quality of food with reasonable down home prices.
